2009 Holiday Camp Set For December 17-21 In Colorado Springs, CO

Huntington Beach, CA - October 28 - USA Water Polo’s Olympic Development Program is hosting the 2009 Holiday Camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO, on December 17-20, 2009.  Each Zone is allowed to send five male athletes and five female athletes, along with a Boys 96&U coach, a Girls 96&U coach, and a Zone referee.  Athletes eligible for Holiday Camp are both male and female athletes born in 1996 or 1997 (and those athletes born in 1995 that are currently in the eighth grade).  Holiday Camp participants must be US Citizens and current USAWP members in good standing.  

Athletes will be responsible for submitting a $200 fee plus airfare.  The fee includes lodging, meals, instruction, and a camp t-shirt.  Athletes should plan to arrive mid-day on Thursday, December 17, 2009.  The first session will begin at 4:00pm.  The last session ends at 10:30pm on Sunday, December 20, 2009.  Athletes should expect to depart the U.S. Olympic Training Center on Monday, December 21, 2009, before 9:00am.  Additional travel details will be provided for selected athletes at a later date.
