Water Polo Queensland in conjunction with Deaf Aquatics Australia have joined together to produce the ‘Welcome to Water Polo’ DVD for hearing impaired water polo athletes. With assistance from Bruce Kemp from Production Plus, the ‘Welcome to Water Polo’ DVD which has been produced by Water Polo Queensland to assist new coaches and players to understand some of the simple rules and basic skills of the game has now been modified with subtitle text to enable those hearing impaired athletes who are interested in playing water polo to understand the outline of the DVD.

Water Polo Queensland is very proud to be able to have assisted Deaf Aquatics Australia in providing this resource and hope that this will continue the development of water polo within the deaf and hearing impaired community. With the advancements made over the past few seasons and an Australian Deaf Water Polo team now competing in tournaments, the DVD will provide a further opportunity to encourage more athletes to participate in this great game.
