Croatia water polo public is shocked. Media sharply criticized Buric and reminded that Vanja Udovicic and Tibor Benedek, who also play in the Pro Recco, continued to play for their national teams - Serbia and Hungary and that they didn't sell out unlike Buric who refuses to play for national team of Croatia.

"He created a name in the Croatian national team and now is leaving because of money," -is one of the comments in the Croatian media.

Buric  receives 170,000 euros per year from Pro Recco and it is logical that he chose to play for the club. He says that he will not play for the national team of Italy.

Ratko Rudic said: Croatia will  host the European Championship snext year, and Buric was supposed to be the backbone of the team for EC 2009 and the Olympic Games in London 2012th year.
