14 teams from four continents have entered the men´s waterpolo tournament of the 26th Universiade to be held 11 to 23 August in Shenzhen, China. Men´s waterpolo is one of the core sports of the Student´s World Games since their very beginnings in 1959; many young players have already gained international experience on senior level in this event. The reigning title-holders are coming from Australia as historical winner of 2009 event in Beglrade, Serbia while 2007 gold medalllist Montenegro is missing this time.
