PARTIZAN Raiffeisen suggestion for LEN Euro League
ImageMembers of waterpolo Partizan suggested LEN as a new competition system in the Euroleague to increase the quality of the heaviest club-competition.
Partizan suggest to start with 24 teams, 20 most advanced and 4 to run through a qualification. Clubs would be thrown in 3 groups a 8 teams or 4 groups a 6 teams. Also, the team from Banjica thinks that each team should participate with 15000-20000 Euro so LEN could make a bigger fond price. Partizan's Coach Dejan Udovicic had a few informal talks to club mates of different clubs across Hungary, Croatia, Greece and Monte Negro. All together came up that some things do not work and the current competition system has some bugs.

"LEN's members requested a written suggestion list and promised to send a reply by December when the new rules are being anounced" - Said Udovicic

The meetings included discussions about regional competitions, which could help as an introduction to regional leagues.

"I've spoken with Jadran and Montenegrinian's coach Petar Porobic and we agreed to start with tournaments for our senior and junior teams. The participants would came from Montenegro and probably Jug and Mladost. I need to say that I was disappointed that the strength of our other Serbian clubs is know but are not interested in matches. Again, there will be a competitor from our clubs for sure." - Said Udovicic

He ads that this would be the first step to a regional league in which 10 clubs would participate, beside Partizan and another Serbian club, Greeks, Croats and people from Montenegro would be a part of the league too.
