Hungary-Germany 15:11 (3:4, 5:0, 3:3, 4:4)

National teams arrived to Cegléd yesterday to play a friendly game. That was the first time that Hungarian National Team played at Cegled... nice open-air pool in the middle of a green field, around 1500 spectaculars.

It was waddled start for Hungary, but pretty confident for Germany: Schertwitis scored a really nice one. Than Hungary started to get themselves together, and took the lead with the action goal of Daniel Varga at 3-2, but that couldn't last long.

We had problems especially with the center play of Germany, as they scored 3 from 4 of this position. But for the 2nd quarter, Hungarian defense became stronger and Peter Biros showed it to everyone what he can by scoring 3 goals.

Than Hungary took aback in the 3rd quarter, although always replied to the German goals.  Pretty nice one from Gergely Kiss: spinning around a circle with his defense, than shooting the ball beside Tschigir into the short corner.

Final quarter was about to keep the lead, and testing tactical figures.

As Tamas Kasas is out, everybody was guessing who will play on his post... there 6 players in the team who can do that: Rajmund Fodor, Daniel Varga, Denes Varga, Marton Szivos, Peter Biros, Norbert Hosnyanszky. In this game, it was Peter Biros (scoring 5 from 6), and Norbert Hosnyanszky (scoring 4) was the most effective... so we will see.

And Germany: well, they had improve indeed... finally they not striving to play all the figures for the center to finish, but rather scoring surprisingly from 7-8 meters... and those goals were unexpected... So, congrats to Hagen Stamm... nice work before start of World League.

After the game Denes Kemeny said the team only played well in the 2nd quarter, there were mistakes in front, too many received goals, but after 2,5 days of national team training, he's satisfied and had seen some pretty nice figures.

Unicum Cup & World League 1st round games will start on July 3. The first game will be Hungary-Croatia.
