Honved and Vasas met again… More than full-house in Koer, home pool of Honved… tough game (common thing), game with many mistakes on both sides, awful man-up usage, and “funny” referees work… Honved-Vasas 11:8 (2:3, 4:1, 3:3, 2:1) At the beginning you had the feeling, that it will be the same game as it was their clash… Vasas started better… Adam Steinmetz scored from center, then Robert Kovacs got away with the ball (0:2). But Honved didn’t let the past to return… at 4:4.. Honved took the lead and never let it out of their hands. Bulcsu Szekely’s first score was an extreme buzz… scoring from 10 meters. Then scores from Honved were just coming… e.g. Gergely Kiss scored as many times as he got the ball. Vasas had the chance to turn the result at 9-7, but simply couldn’t make it… in a way thanks to Honved goalie, Istvan Gergely’s great saving.
They were also shocking mistakes… like Denes Varga’s dropping attempt in a clear scoring situation… actually dropping the ball into Istvan Gergely. And it was shameful from Honved that couldn’t score in double man-up situation.
SUMM: Honved deserved to win, but neither of the two teams played well. Vasas was yet again very good in defense, but weak on attacks. Vasas was given the opportunity with more man-ups, but couldn’t leave with it. Honved was given the opportunity with contrafaults, and could leave with it more or less. Man-ups were terrible on both sides. Many loose shots and ball handling… just like tough encounters with hits and back headings (Vasas won it for sure).
