Hungarian League - Top 2 team 1st clash
Well... clash is a relevant word... Vasas played... great...in the 1st quarter... than...out of balance... and Honved... ooh... well... the worst play I've ever saw from them.

VASAS-HONVED 9-7 (4:0, 3:2, 1:3, 1:2)

Playing in Komjadi against Vasas... well... imagine Posillipo in home pool against any team... or Jug Dubrovnik. Tough, very loud, not quit sober key-fans chanting unstoppable, under the protective eye of extra security guards. So, it's not a warm welcome and visit in Komjadi. Any Hungarian team who can beat Vasas in their home-pool would deserve and extra trophy for it. But that team won't be Honved...
Actually I knew  that Vasas will beat Honved... pratically these were the signs in Honved's play. So there wasn't anything I should have think differently.
And I was still shocked... Vasas easily took the lead scoring 4 times in a row and not a single score from Honved. From Vasas, Zoltan Matyas started the goal-shower, than Denes Varga (still elegant and c ocky) continued. Honved missed two clear scoring situation, but in Vasas: Denes Varga-M. Toth-Kincses  triumvirate's great teamwork ending in goal. (3:0)... The 1st quarter ended with Vasas' CK Barnabas Steinmetz dropping an awesome nice goal (4:0).

Istvan Kovacs decided to change the goalie (Gergely out, young-talent and Jr. World Champ Bisztritsanyi in). 2nd quarter was about wrestling, then Katonas scored twice, but finally Honved managed to reply: Pajan (ending the nearly 15 minutes non-goal period) and Barany. Adam Steinmezt scored his center goal before the end of the quarter (7:2).
After the 10 minutes big break Honved seemed to wake up a bit... although not scoring right away. Both teams were hitting hard the goal-posts, but then Molnar-Szivos duett reduced the difference, keeping up the hope.

The final quarter was more or less the same: wrestling, hitting, blocking shots, missed shots, give-away balls. Katonas shoot the 9th Vasas (and final) goal (9:5). Szivos and Barany tried to cosmeticize the final result (9-7).

VASAS: Katonas 3, Denes Varga 1, Barnabas Steinmetz 1, Adam Steinmetz 1, Matyas 1, Heinrich 1, Kincses 1
HONVED: Szivos 2, Barany 2, O. Kovacs 1, Pajan 1, T. Molnar 1
MAN-UPS: 5/3, 7/1
PENALTY: 1/1, -
SUMM: Well... Honved still can't find the solution for effective game... Huge gaps in defense, very imprecise passes and shots. And Vasas... not bad, especially in the 1st quarter, but they don't have balance... but great tough defense, perhaps unneccesarily tough.... And sorry everyone... I still hate Adam Steinmetz non-Oscar-hope acting in center... sorry, but I got used to that centers are usually play, not just giving the face like some kid whose toy was taken away. (I really hope he won't be in the 13... anyone else does more than Adam).
Honved is currently 4th, and Vasas leads the League... the 2 teams will meet again on 3 November.
And by the way... today SZEGED-EGER... it's a shame I can't see... but I hope that Eger will at least play.
