The game was rather about physicality than waterpolo. Defense was rather a main issue than scoring goals. Overplayed figures, too many missed shots from one side, and some really nice goals (e.g. Denes Varga scoring from the left wing, flipped goal of Barnabas Steinmetz), and strong man-to-man defense on the other.

So far "history" repeats itself. Last year Honvéd lost its first final game (and then the second as well), but it's still not over.

The second match will be held on 12 June, in Vasas's home pool.
