Vasas-Honved 11:8 (2:0, 4:1, 3:1, 2:6)

Well, the results speaks itself... but unfortunately there was more than that in that game. It was the worst final ever played by Honved. Why?

It started with 3 minutes without scoring any goals, but great defense from Honved... and then... everything simple fall apart. Vasas started to score goals, Honved did some really nice ball stealing but simply couldn't score.  Not like Vasas... they shoot from wherever they wanted... and it was a goal.... And there was 9:2 in the 3rd quarter (!!!!).

And the most shocking thing happened... in the 3rd quarter it seemed like... Honved gave it up...  the players were just swimming around, and none of them did anything to stop the Vasas player to shoot and Honved goalie Istvan Gergely couldn't save.

In the final quarter... Vasas's play wavered and Honved started to move up... but it was too late... they should've done it earlier.

Tamas Farago said about the first final: Honved cannot play any worse than that, and Vasas can play any better than that...

Well, Honved proved that they can play any worse, but Vasas didn't show that they can play better... they just capitalized on Honved's awful play.

Denes Varga (from Vasas) scored 3 goals, he was the Best Player of the Game... me particulary liked his spin and twist goal (classic Hungarian one), but I were still wondering... if he's that could, why on earth he's so coward and lame in the National Team. Nowadays he's considered as one of the best young players here in Hungary, because he's cheeky, fast, and he has foot work than no one can understand how's possible. (Now I hope that he's performance will be repeated on National Team level as well).

Referees work: hmm... oh well... Attila Vari was excluded with substitution at the beginning of the game (no one understands why), but other than that... it was a shame that referees a gave a strong help to Vasas at the beginning (Vasas is better than to get any help like this) but by the end... referees simple let them play though (on this level it's normal).

Sunday (17 June) the 3rd game will be held in Honved's home pool. Vasas has strong confidence now (actually they're always had), and Honved... well... many fans think that they cannot change the result... and they simple give the Cup to Vasas... but who knows... if they yesterday play won't shake them up, honestly, nothing else will.
