Unmatched quality of games... the strong ones still get themselves together latest for last half of the game... balance is still lacking at some teams... but the gold and silver medalist of last years League tournament are waiting for each other.
FTC-HONVED 9-14 (1:2, 2:4, 4:2, 2:6) Honved started confidently, but the host FTC could keep up with them... even when Honved had the lead with 3-4 goals. One or two good attack, some well-defended actions from Honved, and the result was 7-8. That's how the game turned to the final part of the game, but Fradi couldn't break Honved. Marton Szivos was in his element with 4 scores, but practically all national team players played well. Pretty nice scores were seen throughout the game, and as FTC got tired for the final quarter, Honved could really made its parade. After the game Gergely Kiss, Miklos Gor-Nagy and Marton Szivos said that they made this game unnecessarily close for themselves. The referees gave many contrafaults, so the game itself could have been considered as a swimming training for Honved before the Monday game with Vasas. SCORERS FTC: Kallay 3, Gerritse 1, Z. David 1, A. Regos 3, Marnitz 1 HONVED: M. Szivos 4, T. Molnar 2, G. Kiss 2, O. Kovacs 1, R. Fodor 1, M. Gor-Nagy 1, B. Szekely 1, A. Barany 1, V. Pajan 1 SZOLNOK-VASAS 6-17 (2:3, 2:4, 1:5, 1:5) There were extra excitment as it was unpredictable whether the host Szolnok can get the tent will be ready as well as the appropriately heated pool... But Szolnok made it, and Vasas was satisfied... except that they hardly believed the pool has 24 C temperature. At first Vasas let the game to appear close, but their confident winning was not at risk. Vasas confidently used man-up situations, and practically Vasas really started to play in the second part of the game. Their scored in rows... and Daniel Varga returned... scoring 3 times. Szolnok couldn't find cure for the tough and close Vasas defense. From Szolnok only Robert Hangay was on the top... and he practically took the whole team on his shoulder and played really well. SCORERS SZOLNOK: R. Hangay 3, Z. Balogh 1, Pasztor 1 , Gyurovath 1 VASAS: M. Toth 5, Denes Varga 3, Daniel Varga 3, Matyas 2, A. Steinmetz 2, Hona 1, Katonas 1 SZENTES-SZEGED 4-13 (1:2, 0:2, 1:6, 2:3) As Szeged's goalie, Laszlo Baksa summed it up: very good defense (Szentes got 8 man-ups and couldn't score any from it). Szeged had the lead all way long, although they left out some score-situation, but we guess it's excusable. Altogether it was a good training before the clash with Eger. SCORERS SZENTES: T. Eger played more loose then ever before. Relatively they got many goals, but Eger was successful in the attacks. Eger still has to improve both in attacks and in defense. Eger now focuses for their next game against Szeged in Tuesday. SCORERS OSC: D. Nemeth 1, L. Hangody 3, Gulyas 1, L. Toth 1, Gabor 2, Ibolya 1, Gy.
