One of the best water polo goal keepers in the world Frano Vican will no longer play for national team.His absence in World League 2009 definitely confirmed that he said goodbye to national team. Selector Rudic was ready for a large compromise - to allow anything just to keep Frano Vican at the World Championships in Rome this year but it didn't work out.
"The reasons are of family of nature and I do not want to talk about it. I am grateful to the selector for a great offer though.
Before Vican, to the Croatian national team said goodbye and Mile Smodlaka and Zdeslav Vrdoljak.
Still Croatian has respectful national team: goal keepers Josip Pavic and Ivo Brzica, players: Igor Hinić, Petar Muslim, Damir Burić, Frano Paškvalin, Frano Karača Nikša Dobud, Andro Bušlje, Pavo Marković, Sandro Sukno, Miho Bošković, Maro Joković, Paul Obradović, Samir Barač and Ivan Bebić. |
