Adriatic League - changes in top 5 clubs
Everything is ready for the start of the second season (2009/2010) of the Adriatic League which, judging by the strength of the teams are much stronger than in its first edition. Many teams have strengthened their ranks, some are weakened, but the objectives have remained more or less the same. In addition, the league is stronger for one more team - Cattaro Maximus from Montenegro.

Jug CO
Last year's champion Jug CO remained without two important players. Mile Smodlaka, after eleven years moved to new team in the league Cattaro from Kotor. American Tony Azevedo moved to Primorac.
Fatovic will not have an easy job to replace the loss, but return of Maro Jokovic and Markovic Pavo will be a huge gain. The team that has Vican, Boskovic, Dobud, Buslje and a new great hope of Croatian water polo Sandro Sukno always shoots to the top. Regardless of the loss of two players, Jug is one of the candidates for the highest position.

Jadran HN
The team that in this transitional period did the best job. In Jadran returned from Italy Boris Zlokovic, Nikola Janovic and Predrag Jokic, and when they add  Gojkovic, Ivovic, Šcepanovic, Vukcevic and Radovic they have almost a whole national team of Montenegro. The Croats that stayed in the club are Percinic and Elez, also joined them Bebic from Mornar. Jadran's team looks super strong at least on paper, but it must be justified in the water. Team number one!

Primorac
Current European champion after the major financial problems at the end of last season managed to find a new sponsor and the team stayed together. The team Lost Paskovica who went to Budva, but took great Azevedo from Jug and Trajkovic from Budva. Players from Split Boris Pavlovic and Andelo Šetka are for the last three seasons unavoidable part of Kotor team. Primorac and Jug will be the biggest rivals to Jadran in this season.

Mladost
Mladost have experienced the most changes of all the teams in the league. From various reasons, seven players left (Buric, Vrdoljak, Herceg, Frankovic, Antonijevic, Jurin and Paskvalin) and coach Bonacic. On the bench this season will be Jug's ex-coach Emil Nikolic.Back to the club came from Olmpiakos Petkovic, Zubcic from Sabadella, Milakovic from Catania, Brzica from Mornar and Boris Letica from Sibenik. The three main players Pavic, Hinic Muslim and remained in the club and most of their impact will depend on the result of Mladost.
With the new team Nikolic already made an excellent result in Sarajevo, but will the tream be able to withstand a long season in the same rhythm is about to be seen.

Budva M:tel
In addition to the change of the main sponsors, Budva has changed and coaches. Veselin Ðuha was replaced by Veselin Krivokapic. The team left the Japanese Aoyagi, Hungarian Gor-Nagy, Vukic and Trajkovic, but they certainly did gain good players. To Budva club came Croat Srdjan Antonijevic, Serb Branko Pekovic Peter Ivoševic and experienced 36-year-old Petar Trbojevic from Barcelona. With Šefik, Ciric and Ticic, Budva is the team to respect, and perhaps to do a step more than last season when they won the fifth place.
